WORSHIP HOURS |
Welcome
We would be delighted to have you join us for worship this Sunday.
On this website you will find information about when and where we meet. You will also find information about the many things going on at our church. We believe they are opportunities that you would enjoy and be comfortable being involved in. Our desire is to provide for the whole family in an atmosphere that proves you are indeed loved by God.

When I come to visit First Presbyterian Church,
What should I wear?
You should wear whatever you feel comfortable with in public. We really want to meet you and won't be worrying about what you wear. If you dress casually you will fit right in.
What about my kids?
First Presbyterian Church has classes for your kids that meet during the 9 am service. Bring them to the service with you and they will have an opportunity to go to classes for their age group when the other kids go. Whatever their age the class will be a safe and fun environment designed to help them learn about Jesus and the Christian life.
Will I need to put money in the offering?
When you visit we will not expect your money. The church is supported by its members and regular attendees. We would rather focus on getting to know you and offering you a place where you can worship and learn and serve.
What We Believe
We are a congregation that is deeply in love with the person and work of Jesus Christ because he is the full expression of God’s presence with and for us. We trust the Bible to be God’s word inspired by God’s Holy Spirit to be our authority in all matters of faith and life. Our mission statement is simply that of Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:18-20,
Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
We believe the greatest hope for the world is complete submission to the saving work of Jesus Christ through relationship with him. Our great passion is to communicate God’s grace in word and action by reflecting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is essential that as a part of Christ’s body for us to be shapers of culture rather than to be shaped by it. We believe that Jesus calls us into culture always ready to give a defense for the hope that is within us. (I Peter 3:15)
We are deeply grateful for our Reformed heritage as Presbyterians who stand on faith alone, grace alone, scripture alone seeking to be true to the Church’s calling to bring the reconciling message of Jesus Christ to the world.
We hope if you have any specific questions about our theological expressions that you will let us know so that we may be available to you.
